100 Jake St "1 House!"
The firehouse at 100 Jake St in Downtown Jakeland was constructed in 1982. The only companies to ever serve in this firehouse is Engine 1 and Tower Ladder 1.
"1 House!"
Engine 1 and Truck 1 are stablemates at 100 Jake St. Their firehouse is known as "1 House" because both units there are #1. Their firehouse motto is "1 House is all you need!". Engine 1 and Truck 1 have seen action all over the city. The most famous incidents they have seen in their district are the Jake Tower Fire (6 Alarms, 8/23/1984), the Jakeland High School Fire (5 Alarms, 9/15/1998) and the Oritani Federal Credit Union Hi-Rise Fire (5 Alarms, 5/7/2012).
Engine Company 1 "Prepared for War!"
Engine Company 1 was established on November 16, 1983. They currently operate a 2012 Seagrave Marauder II. This is Engine Company 1's fourth engine. Engine 1 is equipped with a 2,000 GPM pump and a 750 gallon tank. The district that Engine Company 1 serves is mostly hi-rises so a 2,000 GPM is needed. The equipment carried on board Engine 1 is the standard engine company equipment (axes, halligans, flashlights, nozzles, supply hose, attack hoses, etc).
Tower Ladder Company 1 "Ready on Arrival!"
Tower Ladder Company 1 was established on November 16, 1983. They currently operate a 2012 Seagrave equipped with a 95' Aerialscope tower ladder. This is the fourth ladder to see service as Truck 1. The equipment carried on board is the standard truck company equipment (axes, halligans, saws, pike poles, flashlights, etc). Tower Ladder 1 was the busiest ladder in the city in 2001, 2003, 2012 and 2016.
