1183 Lego Stadium Ave "The Snakes!"
The firehouse at 1183 Lego Stadium Ave in South Jakeland was constructed in 2006. The Jakeland Snakes professional football team in 2004 purchased the land that the old firehouse at 5 Football Ln sat on in order to build their new stadium. During that time Engine 15 was relocated to the Jakeland Ave firehouse. Once the new firehouse was complete in June 2006, Engine 15 was relocated to 1183 Lego Stadium Ave. Engine 15 is nicknamed "The Snakes" because they are first due to Lego Stadium which is the home of the Pro football team Jakeland Snakes. Engine 15 has seen action all across the city. The most famous incident they have seen in their district is the Hall of Fame Ave Arson Fire (5 Alarms, 11/19/1992). That fire burned down a whole block during a windy November morning. Engine 15 arrived first and rescued several people via ground ladders. No one was killed or injured at this blaze because of the efforts made by Engine 15. Engine 15 was also first due to the Commerce Dr Fire (5 Alarms, 2/22/2009).
Engine Company 15
Engine Company 15 was established in 1989. They currently operate a 2012 Seagrave engine. This is Engine 15's third engine. Engine 15 is equipped with a 1,750 GPM pump and a 750 gallon tank. The equipment carried on board is the standard engine company equipment (axes, halligans, nozzles, supply hose, attack hoses, etc). Engine 15 was the busiest engine in the city in 1991, 2000 and 2008.
