544 St Peters Ave "The Italian Stallions!"
The firehouse at 544 St Peters Ave in Little Italy was constructed in 1982 and is one of the original firehouses built in Jakeland for the Jakeland Fire Dept. Chinatown is also in the first due area of Engine 4 after the 2011 budget cuts closed firehouses and moved Engine 6 out of Chinatown. Engine 4 has seen action all across the city throughout its years of service. The most famous incident Engine 4 operated first due at is the Venice Gardens Restaurant Fire (5 Alarms, 12/17/1983).
Engine Company 4
Engine Company 4 was established on November 16, 1983. They currently operate a 2012 American La France Metropolitan. This is Engine Company 4's fourth engine. Engine 4 is equipped with a 1,750 GPM pump and a 750 gallon tank. The equipment carried on board is the standard engine company equipment (axes, halligans, flashlights, nozzles, attack hoses, supply hose, etc). Engine 4 was the busiest engine in the city in 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1993.
